What can I say? Dilbert is awesome. After all these years, I still love this comic. Read it every day … but not in the newspaper anymore, but in my RSS feed. Times have changed. A long while ago, I aspired to be a newspaper comic strip artist … never really gave it a very good shot. Have some regrets about that, but likely it would have been a tough road. Scott Adams got in when the timing was good, but he also managed to get ahead of the industry and established an online presence almost as soon as the internet came out. Good on him. He’s a survivor. Others, well … they’re probably having a tough time, but there are the elite few that are still enjoying the joys of broad national newspaper syndication and endorsements.
