… wow, this is well-done and compelling … seems like a very worthwhile cause that deserves your money.

Awesomeness: Jared Allen
… jared allen set the nfl sack record this year (at least in my book) … granted, officially, michael strahan still holds the record by half a sack, but his last sack was ‘given’ to him by brett favre. jared allen earned every one of his sacks … pure awesomeness … up until today, #44 chuck foreman was my favorite viking of all time … #93 john randall was a close second … now, jared allen is officially my favorite viking of all time … tied with chuck foreman … :O)
Awesomeness: Tim Tebow
… you don’t have to like the guy or even the broncos, but i admire anyone who believes in something and goes out and gets it … with dignity, humbleness, gratitude, and character … i don’t know tim tebow, personally … maybe i don’t know who the true tim tebow is, but from what i can tell, i don’t really think he’s one who asks for a lot of attention (like terrell owens or deion sanders) … he simply gets out on the football field and does what he can for his team. i admire that … i think that defines awesomeness.
… and he’s created quite the rage … even a new word in the dictionary (tebowing) … but it doesn’t really matter if you agree with his religious beliefs or not, this is a man born on this planet with talents and opportunities … and he’s making the most of them … it wouldn’t surprise me if this man gives a vast amount of his income to charities that he thinks are important and make the world a better place … how many of us can say that?

Awesomeness: Colorado Avs
… i grew up in minnesota … didn’t play much hockey then … have grown to love the sport lately, though … wish i could play it more … back then, i was a north stars fan … 1991 was pretty exciting when mike modano took the cinderella team to the stanley cup playoffs.
… but then the north stars moved to dallas … man, that sucked … and of course, the ‘stars’ won a cup … good for modano, though … one of the greatest u.s.-grown hockey players ever.
… anyway, after moving to colorado, i became an avs fan as soon as they moved to colorado (sorry quebec … but you already had the canadiens) … cool they won the cup that year and another one in 2001 … what a team … it’ll probably be a long time till they have a team like that again … cool to still see hedjuk on the team today … they have some promising players … love the logo and jerseys.
Dilbert – Awesomeness
What can I say? Dilbert is awesome. After all these years, I still love this comic. Read it every day … but not in the newspaper anymore, but in my RSS feed. Times have changed. A long while ago, I aspired to be a newspaper comic strip artist … never really gave it a very good shot. Have some regrets about that, but likely it would have been a tough road. Scott Adams got in when the timing was good, but he also managed to get ahead of the industry and established an online presence almost as soon as the internet came out. Good on him. He’s a survivor. Others, well … they’re probably having a tough time, but there are the elite few that are still enjoying the joys of broad national newspaper syndication and endorsements.
WordPress – Awesome
… what can say about wordpress? … awesome, at the least … it’s revolutionized web and blog development worldwide … the content management system is superior to most proprietary programs out there for many reasons: easy to use, expandable, valid html, fast, reliable, well supported, and FREE … this blog (and many others that i’ve built) is on wordpress.
